Walking through the Woods
I have two passions that I combine together whenever I can - walking/hiking and photography. I usually have three to four walks every week, usually in the woods and heaths in the Chilterns within striking distance of Aylesbury. I have a real fascination for trees, flowers, and animals - all things nature and am constantly taking images of the beauty that the natural world has to provide. I also love maps, so use OSMaps to plan my hikes and judge the distance, gradients and overall difficulty of my chosen routes. When out and about use the OSmaps phone app to keep me on the straight and narrow.

In this blog, I plan to share some of my favourite hikes with route information, maps, and images that I have captured on my way. I often walk these routes on many occasions and in different seasons so my images will be from different times, different days, and different months. Wherever possible I will also include links to the official websites or other informative websites that will provide more in-depth information about the areas. I will also try to include a GPX file of the walk to help plot the way. Links and files will be found at the end of the blog.
