Stumbling around Three Cliffs

I had to make a trip back home to Wales and had a bit of time on my hands so decided to drive over to Southgate with the express purpose of getting a sunset shot over Three Cliffs Bay.

I parked up at the NT car park at Southgate and headed west down a lane and then along a path with sharp exposed pebbles. After stumbling over the stones a couple of times, I kept my eyes down to watch where I placed my feet.

Every now and then I wandered off the path and closer to the edge of the cliffs.

Looking east, this shows the stunning cliffs lit by the setting sun.

A closer look at the form and texture.

Looking west my first view of Three Cliffs Bay.

The last image was taken just before the sun was hidden behind the cloud cover. It is not quite what I had envisioned but is quite moody nonetheless.

I the retraced my steps walking through the gorse bushes and past the houses overlooking the sea. One of which was featured in the television series 'Keeping Faith'.
